We are so excited for our first week of Fall classes!!!
So many of our little dancers that we haven't seen in a while will be back and we can't wait to see them!
Couple of things that are new, and things to keep in mind as we navigate this section of time together!!
Every dancer will have their temperature checked/logged upon entrance to the dance studio. Masks must be worn by the dancers when entering, however once in the studio they are allowed to take it off for the duration of their class!
Dancers will take all of their items with them into the room - including shoes, bags, water bottles etc to avoid having to be in and out of the lobby!
Parents will be asked to make an effort to be out of the lobby as much as possible during your child's class (as most of you know our space is rather small and pretty difficult to maintain social distancing). You are free to pop in and check on your kiddos while they are in class but ask that you do put a mask on when in the lobby.
Most classes are happening in the large studio, and have classes following behind with little time in between. We will be cleaning/disinfecting all surfaces in between classes. To help smooth the transition, dancers will now be exiting through the back door of the studio, into the gym and through the side door to the front (sounds complicated but it'll make sense when you are there lol) This way the next class of kiddos can enter - check temps and get situated in the big room! If parents can please make sure they are waiting out front for their dancers (they will be escorted out by a teacher) that would be helpful! This will help us keep the flow of students moving in one direction and hopefully help us avoid overlap!
There are a few instances where the small studio will be in use - start times have been staggered to avoid crossing dancers. The health department has okayed its use so all is good there but it will remain limited for the time being! In these cases temps will be checked outside if possible (weather permitting) and dancers will go directly to the small room to prepare for class. Parents of the secondary class will be asked to not enter the lobby until the first class has been released (typically within 15 minutes of that classes arrival) I will explain better when I see you :)
Hand Sanitizer is available in the lobby, and the studio rooms, dancers will use it upon entrance and exit of our space.
Water Fountains are off limits please be sure to pack a water bottle. We will make sure everyones stuff stays separate and leaves the studio with them! If you notice that you are missing something at any point don't hesitate to reach out and I'll be sure to set it aside!
Lastly please be patient with us!! I'm sure theres about to be a million hiccups coming and while we have worked out a pretty great system during the summer our numbers and classes were much more limited and spread out! We feel confident in how we are moving forward but as with anything theres bound to be some bumps in the road!! We appreciate your kindness and understanding on the rules we must follow!
Looking forward to an amazing season with your kiddos!
There have been many changes to our program since the Stay At Home orders in March! We transitioned quickly to Zoom classes and began offering classes free of charge for anyone who wanted to join us! We had so much fun, and had a lot of new friends join us!! As of June 1st we were able to safely get back to the studio and learn in person with our competition dancers! Starting in July we began opening classes for recreational dancers, preschoolers, and pre-ballet kiddos! Due to Public Health orders our classes are capped at a relatively low number so if you are looking to get started please get in touch with us so we can get you on a wait list!
Our dancers are our family and we missed them terribly during the shut downs! We are doing everything we can to ensure the safety and well being of our staff members, the dancers, and their families as we head toward the fall session! If you have questions in regards to how we are handling cleaning, classes, and masks please don't hesitate to reach out!
We hope you and your families are all well, and thriving and we can't wait to see you again soon!
